Elaine Silbereis: Piano Instructor
Elaine Silbereis has extensive training and experience as a performer, music educator, and teacher of piano. She is well equipped to teach piano students from the beginning to the advanced level, and has done so with enthusiasm for over 25 years. She grew up in Pasadena, CA, where she won many awards and competitions for her playing as a young, developing pianist.
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor in Music in Piano Performance, La Sierra University, Riverside, CA
- Master of Music Degree in Organ Performance (with full scholarship), University of Cincinnati-College Conservatory of Music
- Certificate in Piano Pedagogy as a Fellow of The Royal Schools of Music
- Extensive summer study at the Aspen Music Festival and School
- Training with Katinka Daniel in the Kodaly Method of music education
- Keyboard teachers include: Anita Olsen, Earl Voorhies, Edith Oppens, Robert Glasgow, Roberta Gary
