TUITION

Thirty-eight lessons are given from September through June. Tuition rates vary depending on the teacher. Lessons are paid in 10 equal monthly installments before the first of each month, Sept-June.

Please Note:  For Sept-June payments, we encourage you to make you monthly payments BEFORE the beginning of the next month.  The best time would be at the last lesson of the current month.  All payments made after the first of the month will be charged a $25.00 late fee.

BOOKS AND SUPPLIES
You will be instructed by your teacher on the first lesson about any books or supplies you will need.  These may be purchased or ordered during office hours.  No music, or other merchandise, may be removed from the store without payment.  If you wish for us to hold something, have your teacher set it aside in the office with your name and number, as well as when you plan on picking it up.

THE WAITING ROOM
Students should wait quietly in the waiting room for their lessons.  The Music Score asks that you refrain from vandalizing the sound proofing.

KEYBOARDS
We highly encourage every piano student to practice on an acoustic piano.  Experience has shown that students who practice on a real piano make faster progress and play more musically. The only way to learn to play the piano is on a real piano. You will not learn the proper technique or develop the proper touch with a keyboard or digital piano.

MISSED LESSONS
Teacher absences will be made up.  There can be no further allowance or deduction for student absences.  Lessons will not be made up.  You have contracted with the store for time scheduled each week.  The store will pay the teacher for this time each week.  Your commitment to music lessons and your respect for the teacher’s time is reflected in this policy. You will be taken off the schedule after two weeks of nonpayment.

PERMANENT CANCELLATION
Students who decide not to complete the full 38 week schedule are required to give the office Two Weeks Notice.  If the student does not provide the office with two weeks notice, we require the payment of those lessons.

MISCELLANEOUS
Please refrain from attending lessons when you are ill.  Students must be picked up promptly after each lesson.  There is no provision for the teacher to wait for a student to be picked up.
