Hasmik Zamgochian
Hasmik has a Masters degree in music from the Music Pedagogical College in Armenia and a degree in Music Pedagogy and Piano from The Hartford Conservatory. She has performed as a classical pianist at St. George Armenian Church in Hartford, Accompanying her student choir on piano for a concert at the State Capitol, include The Hartford Conservatory Community School, Asylum Hill Congregational Church and the Charter Oak Cultural Center. Hasmik also plays accordion. She is an active member of Connecticut Accordion Association and American Accordion Association and has performed with them in several Concerts including the 2008 American Accordion Association Festival in Alexandria, Virginia. In July of 2009, in Memphis, TN she competed in the AAA Competition and won 2nd place. She also plays the 72 string Middle East instrument called the “Canon” (zither family)
Hasmik has performed worldwide. In 1994 she performed with the Armenian Instrumental Band in Riga, Latvia and festivals in Paris in 1996. She has been teaching music for the better part of 20 years.
